| I used to like peppermint flavored things, especially this time of year. But I wanted to gag at a few peppermint items I've had over the last week or so -- high-quality chocolate, peppermint mocha at Starbucks, a cocktail, and peppermint ice cream. All of it tastes so synthetic and sweet to me now. Is this normal? I used to love peppermint mochas in college and peppermint ice cream was probably my favorite. No more. |
| I'm the same. Can't stand it anymore but used to love it. |
| 🤷‍♀️ I’ve never tried Starbucks peppermint mocha since I find all their drinks way too sweet and artificial tasting, but I love peppermint ice cream. |
| I don’t drink anything from Starbucks (it all tastes fake to me) but I still love peppermint ice cream, candy canes, and then those chocolate covered mint stirring sticks that my mom always had for company in the 80s. Yum. |

Me too OP!!
It tastes like soap to me now |
|
The peppermint mocha is way, way too sweet.
I love the peppermint meringues from Trader Joe's though. |
| My son keeps telling me I need to try a peppermint shake from CFA. I haven't had a chance yet, but I'm looking forward to it. |
| It’s COVID messing with your taste buds. Get tested OP! |

Nope. Still love the big box of Jr. Mints at the movies.
When we were going to the movies, that is. |
| I am so glad that the rest of you don't like peppermint. That means there is MORE, MORE, MORE for me!!! Give me a York Peppermint Patty, a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks, a Peppermint Chip Shake from Chick-fil-A or a Peppermint Bundtini from Nothing Bundt Cakes any day! |
I really hope this is a joke, because if not, it is the most ridiculous COVID-paranoia post I’ve seen to date. |
| IDK. I LOVE peppermint on it's own but I have never liked peppermint and chocolate together. |
| Most of it is synthetic and sweet. You need to look for things made with real peppermint extract |
Have you seen them anywhere? I haven't seen them this season and just mentioned that to DH. I might have to make my own. |
