Most of the advisors are huge charter advocates. If I had to bet, I’d say charters are first priority, making sure CRT isn’t taught and bad books are banned will be number 2, and the rest will be 3.

Well at least charters and CRT are education related. Our current school board argued about Israel/Palestine and other social justice issues the majority of their term.

I'll be curious if he actually is able to raise teacher salaries while also implementing the tax cuts he has promised. I'm doubtful that will happen. I'll be shocked if FCPS teachers received the next round of raises given under Northam so I don't see it happening under Youngkin.

Qarni was an embarrassment so this appointment can only be an improvement. We’re lucky she’s willing to relocate from Minnesota to take on the challenge - student performance in Virginia suffered greatly and far more than in other states during Covid.

Charter schools for kids with dyslexia substantially outperform public schools. I would love to see one in FCPS for the kids whose families can’t afford private remediation or private dyslexia schools.
