Agree with this. The recipe I use is on the back of the box of Ronzoni ziti noodles. |
| We’ve had good luck with purchasing pulled pork, sandwich rolls, tray of Mac n cheese, tray of green beans, and key lime pie from a local BBQ restaurant for our meal train friends. |
Add rolls, one or two bagged salad mixes and/or cut up fruit. Perhaps a bag of shredded cheese. |

I frequently receive meal train meals from friends. If they asked specifically for something home cooked, I'd try to make food that is hard to do as takeout.
Good meals I have received are: home cooked beef stew (made in a crockpot) with lightly steamed green beans and good bread; salmon teriyaki, rice and steamed broccoli sheet pan roasted chicken with roasted root vegetables vegetarian enchiladas with homemade guacamole Here are some good recipes and ideas https://www.tasteofhome.com/collection/meal-train-dinner-ideas/ |
Look up "nonstop, no chop" chili. I like to cook, but I get asked for this recipe frequently. Otherwise, roast chicken with a bag of salad and some bread. |
