| Welcome to your child being a grown up. |
| My school district has school scheduled on 12/23 so why is it outrageous that a college exam is scheduled on that day? |
| Outrageous? LOL. |
| If your daughter has an exam on the 23rd just know that means their professor will be grading multiple exams right up until Christmas since most universities require final grades to be submitted within 72 hours of the exam, which is decided by the REGISTRAR. So I feel more sorry for the professor than your child, tbh |
|
OP, you realize there is a lot of bad in the world right now, right? Is this a sword you really want to die on?
Outrageous indeed. |
+1. The Registrar determines all final times and classrooms. This info is dictated to the professors. Professors have zero choice. —Signed by a professor! |
| No, OP, this is not outrageous. Get some perspective. |
thank you!!!! |
Same! Maybe we ride-shared
|
| OMG OP, that is so outrageous...because...because. I can't think of why. |
Or maybe she wants to be home with her family on the 23rd? Just because you partied doesn't mean we are all you. |
dp But this is their job. Do you feel sorry for other professionals working on holidays? |
| Really, OP? With all that’s going on with COVID and inflation, this is what your worried about? Your daughter is an adult, she can handle it. |
| Give OP a break. She misses her kid and is looking forward to seeing her. It sucks, OP, but there’s nothing to be done about it. Happy holidays and enjoy your dd being home for break. |
| I would suggest you look up the academic calendar of the university. Usually the final exam dates for classes are posted at the beginning of the semester. As a professor, I hate late exam dates too. But it is not something I can control. |
