Good quality diamond earrings for wife

Are you sure she wants that? Otherwise it's an expensive mistake. I'd rather spend the family money on other things.

Also, unless you get conflict-free diamonds, there's always that nagging feeling that you contributed to exploitation and abuse.

Perhaps talk about that with your wife first. Cubic zirconium is just as pretty and doesn't come with the guilt, plus you can then get an extra gift

Amazing that you know how OP and his wife feel! Wow!

No, they don't.

On this point, I really hope everyone feels like this. It's very disappointing if you don't.

Unless you're getting a large stone, they're indistinguishable.

Links to nice looking CZ earrings?

I always worry about the quality and comfort of the post and backing.

Honestly, you can buy perfectly nice looking ones at Target for about $10. Really, no one is looking that closely at anyone’s earlobes that they’d be able to tell the difference.

Costco!! Amazing quality diamonds and excellent return policy if she doesn’t like them. Please as a tip: get just a solid diamond stud. Two years my husband tried to get me diamonds earrings and he picked these godawful clusters that are like barely shiny diamond dust glued together to sound like it’s a high carat weight and then some diamond encrusted huggie hoops that looked like what a 70 year old would wear. Luckily the second pair was from Costco so we returned them and got the single diamond studs I wear literally every single day.

I got those to scratch an itch for the Tiffany soleste sapphire earrings.

OP - what a nice gift idea. I have large lobes so 1 carat would be minimum to look good. Maybe consider her lobe size.
