These are almost 1 carat each earring. |
| Blue Nile. Don’t go below 1ct total weight for an adult woman. 1-1.5 are great! 2ct are a bit too big for a lot of women. |
Depends on your budget. 1/2ct - 1ct each ear would be nice. |
Absolutely Costco! They have a very impressive diamond jewelry collection. |
| Another vote for Blue Nile. My spouse got me 2 ctw ones about 10 years ago and I love them. Beautiful quality. |
| Consider lab diamonds. Read about it. |
| All of the diamonds I have from Costco are amazing quality, much cheaper than the competition, and appraised for much higher than the purchase price. |

Don’t buy diamond earrings. Cubic zirconium earrings look exactly the same and cost much less to replace when you inevitably lose one.

We use a jeweler in Queens, N.Y. - Sophie's Creations. https://www.sophiescreations.com/ I purchased my engagement ring, diamond anniversary band, and diamond stud earrings from her. Everything is excellent quality and has appraised higher than the sale price. We live in D.C. but the store owner sent photos of our options.
My diamond earrings are .7 carats each, which I feel is a bit too large for everyday wear (I do have small ears) - .5 carats would have been ideal, but my husband picked them and surprised me. |

Are you sure she wants that? Otherwise it's an expensive mistake. I'd rather spend the family money on other things. Also, unless you get conflict-free diamonds, there's always that nagging feeling that you contributed to exploitation and abuse. Perhaps talk about that with your wife first. Cubic zirconium is just as pretty and doesn't come with the guilt, plus you can then get an extra gift
