Balduccis

I was there yesterday and it was terrible. I feel lucky now it took me two hours. Anyone pickup from Bethesda on Wednesday? How were the lines?

Oh no, those poor employees. They are going to get so much unpleasantness.

Well, I feel bad for the people who's holidays they f-ed up. Got any compassion for them?

Well, they presumably won’t be screamed at by strangers.

The lines weren't too bad on Wednesday afternoon- maybe 30-40 minutes? To be expected for a holiday. My main complaint is that a large part of the waiting was inside a tent and some customers and workers did not have masks. Balduccis - your employees should be wearing masks inside during a pandemic and you should not have an enclosed tent packed with people. I won't be ordering from them again.

Well, their holiday was ruined. So I'm guessing that's a no?

It's $185 and feeds 6. By the time you buy all of the separate ingredients (including spices etc) I'm not sure you'd be saving much if anything by cooking yourself.

Damn you must have expensive spices.

Wait was 1.5 hours in Bethesda on Wednesday morning. The food was tasteless. Won't be ordering from Balducci's again.

A turkey/turkey breast and sides for 6 is not $185.

But it does suck to think that your dinner is prepped, and then you realize you have nothing.

The Balducci's kit cost $185 and serves 6-8, Cracker Barrel has a similar package for $150 that feeds 8-10.

I think cooking at home would be $75 max.

God forbid you have to put a turkey in an oven for a couple of hours.

Really? Sure you can feel bad for people who were inconvenienced by the mess up at Balducci’s. But to respond to a plea for compassion for the workers who 1. Likely can’t afford balduccis, 2. Were probably bearing the brunt of people’s anger at the screw up and 3. Had nothing to do with the staffing and plannng is something else.

I thought we were supposed to be supporting businesses and jobs?
