Newbie Thanksgiving Host suddenly panicking - do I have enough food?

Just because you don’t run out of food doesn’t mean there was enough. No one wants to take the last roll, and if guests notice that there is not enough they may not take the portion they really want out of politeness. Being a good host is ensuring your guests are comfortable. I would be mortified if I ran out of rolls on thanksgiving and had to put crescent rolls in the oven during dinner.

Calm down, Gladys. No one is going to starve with the spread OP described.

Just peas. Pearl onions are disgusting.

With clarification that a single portion is a 9x12 and a double is two pans, I think you are totally good and will have leftovers! I would do another dozen rolls.

Seriously. Being MORTIFIED having to bake more rolls? What kind of people does PP hang out with?!?

Actually a lot of people do eat cranberries!! I’d do more of those. You are good on rolls. I think of those as more kid food. Adults may have one and not all will. You already have a lot of starches

I think you are good OP. Good luck!

Agree. Roasted Brussels sprouts or carrots?

I agree you need one more vegetable. Peas would be the easiest, or mixed roasted veggies.

So long as you have ample desserts, I think you're fine on everything including veggies and rolls.

I love peas with pearl onions! Or peas alone!

+1 I count 4 veggie dishes, she doesn't need any more. One roll plus one corn muffin per guest? Also fine. Maybe more cranberry sauce, but that's it.

So…food nobody wants to eat?

Perfect. But, if the cranberry sauce is home made people will eat it. Really simple.

Do you have some dishes planned for before dinner? I feel like the time it takes to rest the turkey, carve the turkey, and get everyone seated is always a lot longer than expected. Having a few plates of cheese/crackers, cut veggies/dip is helpful is taking the pressure off.

Another vote for more rolls.
