I don't think I would get into any of those schools if I was 1994 me applying now. I did minimal extracurriculars, no community service, and I'm Asian. |

Maybe geographically? Just a lower-middle class white girl. I won some statewide art awards. I wrote a killer essay. Stanford still likes a good essay. Thank God Stanford took a chance on me. It changed my life! |

Yep...1982 grad with perfect GPA (no AP's available) and 1170 SAT. I applied to smaller schools but so many with lower stats than mine went to W&M and UVA. So different than it is now. |

Spent one summer volunteering at a community clinic that my dad set up for me.
