How long does a raw turkey stay good?

Haha. Plus I’m also a very stupid person- see my thread on how I thawed a Turkey in my (freezing) extra refrigerator.


I did this last thanksgiving. Put it in garage fridge to thaw Sunday night and didn’t check on it til Thursday morning. It was solid as a rock.

It says "packed on 11/17 sell through 11/23". So maybe good?

Cook, freeze, or brine before the 23rd then.

If the turkey has been refrigerated and there are no openings/tears in the wrap (you would know by the juices leaking from the package) you should be fine cooking by the sell date. Obviously, if the turkey smells/looks off, don’t use it.
