This one will go quick. Love their decor and layout.

I was going to mention the crime in the area but didn't want to get attacked.

Not the case. Owner recently got a promotion and moving back up north to their other home.

This doesn't mean that crime isn't an issue.

I get 3 violent crime alerts/day easy in Petworth. Crime is a real issue.

So the guys job knew he lived in a heavy crime neighborhood and offered him a promotion to move? Got it.

Corner lots are a dealbreaker, the kitchen is a joke, and the price is delusional

It's listed for $1.1 million. That's "very low" for Petworth now?

I'm surprised that people are saying that the corner lot is a deal breaker. I'm not in Petworth, but in my part of the city, corner lots usually go for a significant premium.

For me it's not a deal-breaker, but also understanding that living at a 4 way stop could likely affect the value of my home a bit.

The dealbreaker is the area itself. While it's a beautiful house (but with an underwhelming kitchen), you can't change the location.

How much crime?

Well, there were two shootings in Petworth today. Both in the middle of the afternoon.

Over a mile from this house though. I don't know that block specifically, but I'm a mile from those shootings as well and our blocks are very peaceful and quiet. It's one thing not to trust the crime rates in DC in general, but "Petworth" covers a huge area and your experience really depends on where exactly you live.

It may not have affected the decision to move, but it absolutely does affect the price.
