Petworth House Listed Too Low?

Corner lot is a no go for me.

I like it
I would most likely paint the blue walls though, the range in the kitchen is not flush
Otherwise I like everything else

I like it a lot. I’m a big fan of corner lots. More light, more privacy from immediate neighbors. No idea about pricing.

Corner houses feel bigger but this house is huge! Priced well, generally further from Petworth metro the lower houses seem to be priced at. I don’t know about crime in this spot but there have been some fun family events in the new triangle park lately.

Pretty house but for the size that kitchen is underwhelming. They could have made that footprint larger. Also the appliances are cheap, and I bet that is a recirculating vent above the stove, and not a vent-out. That said I do love the countertop material. The rest of the house is very nice. Not sure I'd choose to live at a corner where there's a 4 way stop, but it's not a deal breaker.

Also it looks like the current owners purchased just one year ago. I wonder why they're selling. it's clearly not a flip as it was fully renovated already when they bought it. They're going to be hit with cap gains taxes on the $58K (which is what's left over after you pay fees).

A lower price and quick sale could indicate a divorce—just want to sell it and move on.

That kitchen is awful

does anyone know where this chair is from?

The house is close to a crime hot spot Given the cribs, that might be why.

I was going to mention the crime in the area but didn't want to get attacked.

For row houses I prefer corner lots -- one less shared wall and more windows.

Well, there were two shootings in Petworth today. Both in the middle of the afternoon.

Not the case. Owner recently got a promotion and moving back up north to their other home.
