Even seeing the room prep he does makes me exhausted. It's kind of like watching those DIY home renovation shows. Yeah, it looks amazing and like it would be fun but the reality is much different. I applaud Dexter's fictional efforts keeping our streets safe and our court systems unclogged but there's no way I would do this, even if I knew I could get away with it.

He's not a psychopath. A psychopath is charming and manipulative. They lead totally normal lives and fit in very well in society.

Dexter is a sociopath. A sociopath is a person with antisocial personality disorder. Sociopaths don't lead normal lives because they fail at forming the most basic connections with others. They are also prone to fits of rage and impulsive, erratic, risky behavior and decisions.

The reason why Dexter was successful for so long is that his dad Harry taught him the code that he developed along with a doctor. Harry also taught Dexter how to blend in and not be so antisocial with people.

A psychopath is born. A sociopath is made.

all the time Dexter took, running hither and yon, scoping out potential murders, taking care of kids/wife/sister, work hours. It was exhausting to imagine. And when did he work out?

One thing I wondered - (we are on S7) they refer to Cody/Astor's grandparents as Harrison's. That isn't true, they are C&A paternal grandparents. Rita's family is in Michigan. Dexter's are dead.

And how much is he paying that nanny to raise his kid? Seriously, he must see him 1 hour a day.
