What kind of bottles should I register for?

I know quite a few babies (including mine) who never really drank more than 4 oz. of milk at a time. By the time my baby was able to drink more milk than would fit in the bottle, he was ready for a sippy or regular cup. YMMV, however.

4oz bottles are also good if you're breastfeeding and have DC in daycare. My daycare led me to this point, highlighting the fact that DD wouldn't always drink a large bottle and the leftover breast milk would be wasted. It's easier not to waste it if you send along more smaller bottles.

Not sure I agree with this. My DD never drank more than 4 oz (breastmilk) from a bottle at a time.

I love MilkBank bottles. They have never leaked on me and have a decent nipple flow. I have three kids and MilkBank bottles are the best bottles I have ever used.

Avent bottles leaked.

I think the point was that you can put 4 oz in a 9 oz bottle, so why bother getting the 4 oz bottles if you may or may not end up needing 9 oz bottles later on. Makes sense to me.

I agree. DS did get to the point after a few months where he readily drank more than 4 oz. I was glad that I bought bigger bottles. As noted, you can easily put 4 oz or less in a "big" bottle and it's not harder to clean or deal with.
