Madlax and others getting sued for $35 million!!!

As a lawyer who practices in various federal courts, including EDNY, that is one of the worst complaints I've ever seen. Looks pro se.

And you can develop this opinion from reading posts on DCUM? You must be an exceptional attorney.

I'm not a lawyer but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express and reading that complaint it looks like it was written by these guys

There's a link to the actual complaint. I'm not a litigator but I would agree that it is a mess.

Correction: "hoping" Cabell responds in an email

I could use some entertainment right now - and chuckle when I think about his email from years ago.

Any lawyer could find the complaint easily if they know the court and a party name, using a service called Pacer. It's funny that you would be sarcastic on a topic outside of your own field. What is your point?

Or could just follow the link in this thread to the complaint. It is a garbage complaint. A complete joke. I wonder whether the person who responded to my post is somehow involved with this joke.

I am the earlier poster who called out your sarcasm, and trust me, I am not connected to the complaint. You can call the complaint a joke, and I agree that it is badly written and superficial. But I hope for their sake that MadLax and the other defendants are not taking it lightly. There are a lot of reasons why this suit has potential to be a mess for all the defendants.

The complaint is a joke. There is no way that it will get past a motion to dismiss. I hope they didn't get charged for that piece of garbage. Seriously.

Cabel, you realize when you delete an email that the other guy still has it, right?

I had to look up who Cabel is. My kids aren't good enough at lacrosse to know him! Anyway, do you think that guy knows what a motion to dismiss is? Anyway, as a relative outsider, I find it weird that people are so ready to see MadLax fail that they think this dumb complaint has any hope. Really says more about the mindset of this scene than anything about that complaint. So weird.

Look a little deeper and you might get it, madlax parent.

As a prior poster said, I hope for MadLax sake that they are not taking this complaint lightly.

If the complaint reflects the quality of plaintiff's representation, I imagine that potential will not be realized.

The case seems to be progressing. When do the accused file to dismiss?
