how long for toddler to adjust to daycare?

I am hoping to do half days until he is able to stop crying at drop off. I do work full time, so I can't be a SAHM, but I have family in the area and they watch him half days. I'd like to give them their lives back
so daycare would be great to work out!

He has to learn to nap at daycare. What does the daycare say about adjusting to naps?

daycare says we can do whatever we want and they don't have any advice!

I have heard it is better for adjustment to do full days, especially if you eventually intend to do full days.

My toddler started at the same age, OP, and it took her a little over a week to adjust. She has a pretty easygoing temperament, though, and is used to being watched by others (nanny/grandma before daycare). So it may take a bit longer for some kids.

I worked in daycare for many years after I left teaching elementary school. He will learn to nap at the center, OP. I don’t think it’s an ideal environment for a baby. But he will adapt. He has no choice.

My baby started at 15 months too after being home up until then. It took about 2 weeks to adjust. Now she loves being there.

the PP who said they work in daycare but they will adapt because they have no choice made me sad. Isn't daycare good for socio-emotional development? this is not a baby but a toddler at this point....
