Yep. They've lost Spencer and now teams have film on Williams. Enjoy 8-4 seasons Coach while Spencer takes Oregon to CFP next year.

I'm an Oklahoma fan and Williams is fun to watch. The OU/Texas game alone was unforgettable. And OU is 9-1 so I don't know what you're talking about with the 8-4. . .

Thrilled to see him do well and beyond thrilled to have the real deal at QB! He's motivating that team in such an impressive way made it even more remarkable given his age and that he didn't have a senior year. I wonder if his being able to enroll in OU last spring helped him get to know his teammates, coaches, and playbook helped.

He should be the pride of all DC. I cannot image not rooting for him because he beat your kid’s HS team when he was 16 in 2018 (or whenever). But being an Oklahoma fan and begrudging him full fandom? I cannot fathom. Strive to be a better person.

Clearly my joke about it stinging a bit fell flat. Did you miss the glowing praise I heaped on him after that (rather lame) joke? Strive to find a sense of humor.

“with kids at SJC It stings a bit to cheer for him…” That’s the joke? I don’t think it’s sense of humor that’s lacking here.

I see all you GZ fans routing for Diggs!

Oh it sting but yea we route for him... you don't see that's /s?

Can we just be proud of this 20 yr old Heisman Trophy winner from DC?

It is really impressive to win the Heisman and I really want to like this kid because he is local. What he said about Gonzaga was lovely and he is giving money to charity … but, the “FU” manicures and all the publicist/dietician/trainer handlers hardly seem like a man for others.

I did like Williams’ line about how the other candidates were still playing. His delivery was sincere and that felt humble and honest.

If you have this level of play you are going to have and your some extent need handlers of all sorts. He was a a Gonzaga game last year and seemed like a really good person. DS did not know him personally. So happy for him and his family!

(And to the earlier comments from SJC family. I get it!)

He lost me at the F U painted on his nails. Totally unsportsmanlike. Refused to shake hands with Utah players after that game as well. He has some maturing to do.

I don’t disagree. Hopefully, this will be the end of it. I look at it as a somewhat immature Lucky charm tradition that should go by the wayside. However, you should read about what he did for two young Utah fans who lost their father before the SJC Utah game. IMO that kind of behavior means a lot more.

He is a BEAST! Bear Down!

So happy for him and the Chicago fans! My team sadly is out of the playoffs now so I will be cheering for Chicago now.

- and I also get the begrudging support from SJC fans. It is like family, you can fight within the family, but also ban together when needed.
