| I just watched him put up huge numbers as a true freshman quarterback in his first start as Oklahoma's quarterback. This after missing his whole senior season at Gonzaga after covid cancelled the season. The media is going crazy. Gonzaga and DC should be proud! |
Too bad Gonzaga lost in a shut out to Good Counsel today for their 4th loss. |
They needed him today |
| Last week’s performance was an instant classic. Historic win at the Red River Showdown. Congrats to Caleb and his family. Taking no credit for themselves, Caleb’s Gonzaga coaches are so proud. He’s a great young man. We should all celebrate him as a DC star. |

I'm an Oklahoma fan with kids at SJC. It stings a bit to cheer for him, but he's going to have a great career in Norman. Thrilled to see him do well and beyond thrilled to have the real deal at QB! He's motivating that team in such an impressive way made it even more remarkable given his age and that he didn't have a senior year. I wonder if his being able to enroll in OU last spring helped him get to know his teammates, coaches, and playbook helped.

No WCAC pride? I guess being new to the area you missed that part. Or SJC, which was teetering on the edge of closing not so long ago, is dizzy from having risen like a Phoenix from the ashes and doesn’t understand it was the conference membership that contributed to their remarkable come back. |
He should be the pride of all DC. I cannot image not rooting for him because he beat your kid’s HS team when he was 16 in 2018 (or whenever). But being an Oklahoma fan and begrudging him full fandom? I cannot fathom. Strive to be a better person. |
| I like his smile. He seems really charismatic. And I'm a guy ha ha. |

He is a wonderful kid to watch but like so many before him and after him let's not get too excited after 1 1/2 games. I hope he remains as successful as he has been and stays healthy but these top programs are famous for bringing the next highest rated player to compete for the next win and that can really mess with these kids. Hopefully his coach sees his talent and doesn't mess it up.
sadly the kids are often the ones who suffer. Just look how quickly the coach turned on Spencer Rattler after an injury after just setting the record for touchdowns scored in 2 games and so many others. They don't play the toughest schedule and by the time he moves on they won't be in the SEC yet. |
He should have stayed home and had a bigger impact. |
Huh? Bigger than Oklahoma quarterback??? |
Clearly my joke about it stinging a bit fell flat. Did you miss the glowing praise I heaped on him after that (rather lame) joke? Strive to find a sense of humor. |
It looks like this may have been moved from the private school forum, which may be why the joke was missed. |
“with kids at SJC It stings a bit to cheer for him…” That’s the joke? I don’t think it’s sense of humor that’s lacking here. |
| and this week the Oklahoma fans were chanting they want Spencer. Hopefully he can rebound from the past few weeks but now that teams have film of him he needs to develop and not rely in his athletic ability alone. |
