Ah but dying?? Moron. |
| OP the other parent is an adult take them to be vaccinated F the other parent. Who cares. |
I agree. I would say this parent is more "open to the vax" than pro-vax, otherwise they'd have gotten it already, regardless of the opinion of the conspiracy consumed spouse. This parent has multiple health conditions too so it's just very hard not to be angry at the irrationality of their choices. |
| There is no such thing as a “pro-vax” adult who has yet to be vaccinated. |
You do realize that 95% of current Covid hospitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated? Good luck! |
Yes, the lack of critical skills on the part of people like PP is MIND BOGGLING. The science could not be more clear--vaccines are highly effective against hospitalization and death. Breakthrough infections are real, just like with flu shots, but the consequences are far less severe. There is literally NO part of this point that is disputable. |
And having had Covid has benefits too. |
Hmmm… https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.11... Vaccine highly effective … Estimated efficacy for documented infection of 92·8% Hospitalization 94·2% Severe illness 94·4% Death 93·7% Protection from prior SARS-CoV-2 infection (also effective) Estimated efficacy for documented infection of 94·8% Hospitalization 94·1% Severe illness 96·4% So if you survived infection without infection then you’re fairly well off. Besides being older, do your parents have anything else that would put them in the category of likely to die from COVID? you sound more angry that you can’t control them or that you have opposing views. Maybe they are more comfortable with the possibility of dying than you are. Keep your kids in a bubble if you don’t want them to learn how to deal with people they may disagree with. 🙅♀️ |

Here’s a hint OP…your stupid mom is an antivaxxer just like your stupid father. She’s just telling you some fairy tale so you don’t get mad at her.
She’s worse, at least he’s owns his stupidity. |
Don’t talk to the irrational parent about vaccines. Talk about Fox. Talk about how Fox has a vaccine mandate (even though they are denying it) and Rupert Murdoch was one of the FIRST people in the world vaccinated. Then tell her why Fox and Murdoch lie to her— to trick her into voting for Republicans for tax cuts. “Mom, Republicans lie to you about COVID so you’ll hate Joe Biden because Biden wants them to pay their fair share and lied-to people like you will vote to cut billionaires’ taxes. You’re getting scammed. Get the damn vaccine and stop being stupid.” Say the above and I will bet you a nice bottle of the beverage of your choice that she gets vaccinated in the next few weeks. |
You poor, sad, sucker. You don’t know why Republicans are lying to you about the vaccine, do you? You don’t know that rightwing media and Republican elites have made a decision to try to get you and your grandparents killed for votes, it seems. All the billionaires have to do is make you feel superior to someone else, to “own some libs” and you buy all the lies they sell. I feel bad for you. Maybe you’ll realize one day. Before you give all your tax dollars and your family’s health over to Republican billionaires, who call you “useful fool” in private and laugh at you. Does it feel good to realize Koch and Murdoch and McConnell think you’re stupid? |
| I would take pro-vax parent out to lunch and then swing by the pharmacy and get them a vaccine. |
You support your spouse for not taking a step that could help protect not only him but also your unvaccinated kids? So warped. |
Poisoned? What has happened since you got vaccinated? You’re still here posting. You’re alive. What was so bad about it? |
|
I would drive the sane one to get vaccinated.
My father has anxiety issues that are increasing with age - in his early 70s, he has a hard time doing anything that is not part of his routine. So while he was terribly scared of catching Covid, when he had the opportunity to get vaccinated, suddenly he invented all sorts of reasons why he couldn't go. My mother had to lecture him and push him out the door. I'm sure there will come a time when he reaches full non-compliance on anything. Sigh. |
