racist remarks at Sherwood vs Einstein game

The Sherwood community have always fought hard to keep their numbers white. They were originally supposed to be part of the NEC, which is predominantly black. The parents fought tooth and nail to stop that from happening and they won. It drives them nuts that there is still a small.pocket of low income housing in that area to ruin their demographic goals.

Sherwood teams should not be allowed any spectators/supporters in the stands at both home and away games for at least the remainder of the fall sports season. Period.

+1. There needs to be better zero tolerance about this. That would be a good way to start - no more spectators in the stands for the rest of the fall season.

That's zero tolerance. What actually happened was high tolerance of racism against Asian American students by the adults there. If this happened to black players, I'm pretty sure there would've been a much bigger stink DURING the game.

I disagree with punishing the girls on the field for the actions of the boys in the stand. Once again women bearing the weight of male issues.

if the situation was reversed, I'd say the same thing. This has nothing to do with gender.

Did the article say it was boys who made the racist remarks? Girls do also make racist remarks. Once again, this is not a gender thing.

The coach also did nothing. The adults did nothing. No one did anything when this was happening.

I think it’s odd that nobody seems to have many details.

Sherwood is very small town in that everybody quickly hears all the gossip, yet nobody seems to know who was involved, what really happened, etc.

I have a child at Blair. He said that at their football game the Sherwood spectators chanted “middle class.” So dumb but not racist.

There was more than one incident and also offensive social media posts.
