I do feel the most important thing you can do is shower him/her with as much love and cuddles as possible. Your fur baby is still here! Try and focus on the now, as difficult as that may be. So I feel like you may have difficulties not controlling how or when things should happen. By keeping control, it may make it easier for you to stay focused and organized.
