When my DS was 5, and in school/aftercare from 9-5, he had no "social life". On weekdays, he went to school and came home, ate dinner, played a bit, got ready for bed and went to bed. On weekends, we had swimming lessons and sometimes birthday parties. Maybe a few playdates, but they were rare. He never complained about a lack of "social life".
Granted, we are also a "one activity at a time" family, at least until they are older and actually want/need to do more. |
