PP, I'm sure you are aware but external search teams tend to do the bidding of the Board. Maybe what you should be looking at is not who the search team recommended, but who on the Board chose the " search team " . For example, any new Board members arrive in the 2-3 years before your former HOS announced his " retirement "

If you got a change agent as a new HOS it was likely as inside job. You just missed who they players were
