| He’s going to LA. He will be the head of the Center for Early Education where Beyoncé and Jay-Z send their kids. It’s a k-8 which doesn’t really seem like his forte but hey…they are getting an amazing guy. He is so thoughtful and has been an amazing head at Burke. It will be hard to fill his shoes |

As with all ambitious administrators, he’s seen where he can have impact and now he can move on. Burke allowed him to build a noteworthy reputation in the field and the school benefitted greatly under his tenure. The true test will be the hire they recruit. It will reflect on both the legacy he’s built and that of their board as well.
Burke is a gem in the DC independent school community. They’ve managed well through other transitions and will here too. |

| Chicagoan here. We knew him when he was here at my kid's private. It was a real loss for us. Excited for him in his next chapter and we continue to expect great things. |

He has family in Los Angeles.
Time will tell on the search for a new head of school, but I'm optimistic. Burke has been doing very well when it tries to hire new people. The recent faculty hires have been terrific. |

Well…that’s what they say but c’mon. He has a job all lined up. If he really had commitments he would be there now. It’s ok to want to leave DC. It’s not for everyone. |

| I hope the board has a solid take on what the school is and what the families there want from it and the next hos. Our board did not and bent to the recommendations from the external head search team to change most everything about the educational pedagogy of the place and the board forgot to get input from the customers. |
