What the hell is downmarket in DC?

It’s a very popular English name. The lesser royals don’t have to choose from the same five names the primary British ones do. They usually pick more trendy names. See, Zara.

I actually love the name. Much prettier than/not as old-fashioned as Beatrice and less weird than Zara

Sienna is a beautiful Italian name that suits her Italian last name and heritage.

We had a Toyota Sienna in the 2010s - along with every other family of small kids / strollers / pets.

But I like Elizabeth.

Well, we have a sienna and are both big law partners, so not really. There are several in her classes. It’s after my British cousin. Couldn’t care less if those who think choosing Caroline/Charlotte/Elizabeth/Eleanor ad nauseam makes them “up market.” It just means you choose an eternally popular name. Cool.

I wonder if she has orange/red hair? That’s what Siena means?

I’m surprised she didn’t use Elizabeth as the first name.

I think it would have been cool to use Isabella as a nod to Elizabeth and to the Italian heritage.

Sienna was named after grandmother Sarah Ferguson (S) as they both share the red/rust color hair (like the color sienna).

Shouldn’t it be Siena?

Stripper name

Andrew and his daughters and his ex-wife are trashy.

Either way - happy for her. And I love that she gave a shoutout to her stepson in the birth announcement. I never liked Beatrice but if she is welcoming to Wolfie and a good mother to him as well as her daughter, that's all I could ask.

Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.

Of course, all those weeks on the slopes in Switzerland and on the beach in Barbados, you got to know her so well...

Body language and her personal actions tell a story.

- Beatrice was the daughter who encouraged Andrew to do the Panorama interview absolving himself
- Beatrice has been a firm supporter and even traveled pregnant to Balmoral last month to support Andrew as he was hiding out from court servicers
- Beatrice also blatantly stolen a new mom’s live-in fiance and broke up a household
- Beatrice is the one who spread the stink about Meghan announcing at Eugenie’s wedding (Eugenie did not and is friends with the Sussexs)
- Beatrice has been a flake at work her whole life and has been demanding accommodations at St James Palace + Kensington Palace even though she isn’t a working royal
- Lastly Beatrice has been flaunting her maskless pregnancy all Covid

Dara Huang is trash, so no great loss there.

Waiting to see if Princess B will be criticized for her choice of hospital, not immediately showing off the baby, and waiting more than a day to announce the birth — like Meghan was. Good on Beatrice for handling this in a way that supported her child’s well-being and her own.

First off, people don’t care about Beatrice or Eugenie nearly as much as they do William and Harry.

Secondly, the problem with Meghan was that she liked the royal life in situations where it suited her, but claimed vicitimhood in situations where it didn’t. That in two sentences sums up why people don’t like Meghan, and why nobody cares how long Beatrice waited to announce the birth of her kid.
