My son (8) loves KidRealm. I think they usually offer camps during breaks. |
Also Scramble had them last year. |

Closer to that time, you'll start getting emails via PeachJar (the email method APS uses now to send out announcements) with camps advertising.

Also, your neighborhood listserv or Next Door, etc. may have ads for teenage babysitters, who will also be off school. Start hiring now for a regular night out and you'll have someone you trust by the time December rolls around. |
Oh excellent, thank you!!! We do get those. I don’t think the county has anything set up yet so it’s good to hear they’ll keep us posted. |
Also read the flyers sent via Peachjar. Those often advertise break camps. |
Not a dumb question at all!! Much better than most of the humble-brag and/or passive aggressive posts on here! Thank you! |
Camps and there are a lot of them. If your child does an activity and loves it, ask at that activity. If your place doesn't have a camp, they probably know of another place that has a camp involving that activity or the other parents whose kids are participating know. I know of gymnastics studios, dance studios, gyms, and after care programs that have winter break camps. But you might want to look for something sooner rather then later because of COVID and smaller numbers at some programs.
I am in FCPS so I doubt that list I have would be helpful for you. |

We are new to the area also and find this very helpful. Thanks for all of the suggestions (and to OP for asking)! |
