Someone copied a nanny ad out of what is supposed to be a secure neighborhood listserv and is taking pot shots at the people. The listserv people can't kick the OP out because they don't know who it is. At least we can end the public humiliation on here of this family.

I just read that thread for the first time just now. Let me ask a couple of questions:

1) The administrators of the listserv from which that message apparently came know me very well and could get in touch with me anytime they wanted. Do you have any indication that they want the thread removed? I haven't heard anything from them.

2) There is a message in the thread saying that the authors of the original listserv message find the discussion here amusing. Do you have any indication that they want the thread removed?

The thread is 9 pages long and the OP is getting hammered just as bad, if not worse, then the authors of the original message. Beyond that, there is some interesting discussion. I am a bit reluctant to remove the thread in such circumstances, though I could be convinced.
