Rumor has it that ECNL panicked and promoted the Northwest ECRL teams to ECNL, because MLSN was going to give them MLSN II, sinc most of the girls sides of those clubs have GA. Clubs were forced into going ECNL from RL.

I'm sure the clubs also pressured ECNL as a group for the promotion. ECNL was stuck in a position where they needed to promote them all or lose them all.

There's rumors that some might still go MLSN. For the clubs is MLSN2 better than ECNL? Also the question for the leagues is will being in GA be contingent on clubs playing their boys in MLSN?

Probably not. There is a big push by ECNL and MLSN/GA to gain ground in the Pacific Northwest.

It’s rumored some of those clubs will shift to MLSN, but there is no telling

Maybe, they had GA and ECRL before the promotion to ECNL. With all the action going on right now I doubt it though. I'm sure MLSN1 invites and GA invites would flush ECNL out of the entire league. But we're talking about he Pacific Northwesr. Teams from there are pretty bad.

You don't realize how fast things can change. If a group of big clubs switch to MLSN and GA it will send att the ECNL hats into a panic. This is very likely to occur because negotiating early with GA will give the best results. Also negotiating as a group (aka a package deal) will also give the best results.

Yes, I bet clubs are weighing the switch this year or not and what the repercussions would be. My guess is the tipping point is right before the 27/28 season as the Women’s FIFA World Cup will be just on the horizon, the FIFA World Cup will have just finished a few months earlier and the US will be the center of the soccer universe. MLS/US Soccer expects be selling 18 years olds more consistently to Premier League Clubs while the MLS continues to turn a hefty profit on quality players sold to Europe.

what I see happening in florida. not this year but maybe next. Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and Orlando City have encl girls and mls boys. in 26/27 these ecnl girls will be pushed or nudged to GA. That creates a conference in Florida for GA of Jacksonville, Orlando City, Tampa Bay, with current GA members IMG, West Florida, Florida United, Palm Beach Gardens and Pinecrest. Other than Orlando City and West Florida girls, that is a very strong conference.
