This list is not exhaustive, and no offense intended to anyone not below. It is a decent beginning:

3d VA Metro: https://www.3dlacrosse.com/3d-virginia-metro/
Capital: https://www.capitallacrosseclub.com/
M&D DC: https://mndlaxdc.playerfirsttech.com/site?ID=7403
Maryland United Bethesda: https://mdunitedlaxclub.com/bethesda/
MC Elite:
Pride: https://pridegirlslacrosse.com/
Stars: https://www.thestjames.com/sports/lacrosse#teams
Yellow Jackets Mid-Atlantic: https://www.yjmidatlantic.com/

If your kid has college prospects, I would think M&D DC and Capital are the programs to shoot for but both have their warts. Hope that Capital realizes they have real competition and will fix some of the many issues that have been identified on multiple threads on this site. Having said that, they have best recruiting in DMV but seems like it is on the decline.

Talk to any college lacrosse coach and they will all tell you in no uncertain terms: they do not care what club you come from. The recruitment will be based on how your daughter performs. They go watch all players no matter what club they play for or what bracket they are in.

Amazing capacity and stamina these low paid college coaches have to track thousands of players and watch hundreds of overlapping games. Really impressive.

Amazing indeed. But they obviously don’t do it for the $$$.

Yeah, the “talk to any college coach” poster might be the dumbest thing posted on this string. Nobody is saying that kids can’t be recruited from top clubs but it sure makes it a hell of a lot easier. While they may not care where they come from, take your chances leaving your kid at an MC Elite vs Capital.

That’s not the right comparison bc mce players have been sabotaged by the club director. Who has no interest in helping the girls make it to the next level. It is a cash cow for her and I feel so bad for those young coaches.

Exactly. And anyone that reads these threads knows that Cap '27 and '28 are really the only two teams top coaches will slog out to watch play #37 ranked teams in 4th bracket games in between seeing the top clubs play. Because relationships.

How many Cap players have been recruited to the #1 winningest program in the country?

Interesting.

If you’re referring to UMD, Capital players are being recruited to better lax and academic schools.

Cap players have the recruiting success because they have the grades/academics and/or their parents can pay ivy tuitions. But people seem to conflate that with elite lacrosse talent. At Princeton et al, a huge % of superb lax players are eliminated due to academics and finances. No one seems to mention that elephant in the room.

Correct. To get into an Ivy for lax you need have the grades, etc that would make them a contender as a regular applicant. Lax can give them an edge. Girls are not going to Ivy or NESCAC for lax who would not otherwise belong there.

Seems like Cap’s niche? Their recruiting success is dependent upon their upper upper class status (which, beyond ability to pay $60k tuition annually, is closely tied to academic credentials that can suffice). So many players don’t even have these schools on their lists. It’s totally niche. Now once they get there, if the school is top 10 division 1 NCAA, then they’ve clearly performed. But so much bragging about recruiting success that rules out, what, 90% of lax players (grades/$$).

I'm not sure where you get your information, but Ivy athletes would have a small minority that would be contenders for getting in without playing their sport. That includes women's lacrosse.

I think he/she means not that they would absolutely get in, but that they would have the credentials to do so.

Except Princeton, Yale and Penn are all ranked ahead of UMD lol.

Of course, that goes to the definition of contender. Only a small minority would be contenders.
