Correct.  To get into an Ivy for lax you need have the grades, etc that would make them a contender as a regular applicant. Lax can give them an edge. Girls are not going to Ivy or NESCAC for lax who would not otherwise belong there. [/quote]I'm not sure where you get your information, but Ivy athletes would have a small minority that would be contenders for getting in without playing their sport.  That includes women's lacrosse.
