Is this putting ACB in jeopardy??

If Lee and Thillis (and Barret supposedly) are to quarantine for 14 days, that is, checks calendar, Oct 15. The hearings are supposed to start on Oct 12. If any more GOP Senators get it or, god forbid, are debilitated, McConnell won't even have the votes.

The Senate will need to adjourn for campaigning before the election, so it is entirely possible, if Schumer does some parlimentary tricks, this gets pushed to after the election. The ACA case is supposed to be heard on Nov 10th, and the GOP wanted her seated for that case. Seating her after the election, if the Senate loses the majority on Nov 3, will be an albatross the rest of the senate carries til they are voted out of office.

If Comey can testify on video from home, the Senators can vote in the same damn way.

No, they can't.

Where did you read that?

The PP is lying. That wasn’t one of his symptoms at all.

It is on the news. Find new sources if it isn't what you are seeing.

I can't imagine he'll die. He's getting the absolute best care.

Yes, even if he is in fact seriously ill, he's odds of survival are at least 90 percent. But he is also likely to be too sick to work for weeks or even months

Oh BS. That’s some wishful thinking there. If he’s like most people with COVID, he will be absolutely fine.

He is in the hospital. Most people are not hospitalized.

+1. People generally are only hospitalized if they’re showing significant respiratory distress. Either Trump’s symptoms are worse than he’s letting on, or he’s having a complete anxiety meltdown over the diagnosis and wants to be hospitalized even though it’s not medically indicated.

He was hospitalized because his doctor advised him to do so. We know you thrive on drama, but stop spinning fiction.

You are incredibly blind when it comes to Trump. If any body else in the world said, "I'm going to the hospital for a few days" you'd no doubt recognize that that itself is a dramatic event. But because Trump tells you it is nothing to worry about, you think it's nothing.

If Obama was currently president and tested positive for COVID, he would also be whisked away to spend a few days under observation at Walter Reed - and you’d be cheering the abundance of caution shown in his case. The only reason you’re making this into such a huge deal is because it’s Trump. Admit it.

Jim Acosta tweeted that a Trump advisor told him this. Take it however you want.

Only if Obama was showing symptoms and labored breathing. Which is doubtful given his general health and good condition. See the difference?

Serious question here - ignoring his drafting dodging for the moment - you didn’t have a clue when he was hiding in a basement during the protests outside of the White House?

You mean when the SS insisted he do so? God, you people are the worst - and so transparent.

The SS insisted Trump go to a military installation in the Midwest and stay there. Did he? No. Because a Commander-in-Chief makes the decisions.

It was an honest question btw. I didn't think Trump was an outright coward until that night. I had my suspicions after he refused to visit Covid-19 ground zero (and still hasn't 8 months into the pandemic) but well...

There is a difference between hearing testimony and taking votes. Senate rules currently prohibit proxy voting for anything close.

He doesn't do much work anyway--can continue to watch Fox News, send hate tweets, and sign whatever papers are put in front of him from bed.

Jesus. The amount of hate and schadenfreude on this thread is sad and unfortunately not surprising given the tone of people recently on this site. I feel sorry for you all. Must be a terrible way to live. I don’t like him but love our country and for that reason I hope he is ok and recovers.

Completely agree. These ghouls are circling like the vultures they are. How disappointed they’ll be when he finishes his quarantine without incident.

Do you remember Trump talking about Hillary's pneumonia in 2016? My how people forget things.

No, no one forgot. The point is he was wrong then and you are wrong now. Not complicated. But keep at his level if you wish.

He walked over the graves of 200,000 dead Americans like it was nothing. I'll happily keep at his level.

I do want him to be miserable for a few weeks or months, show the rest of the country that it really is serious, and recover to the realization that he lost the election by a landslide, he's under investigation for tax fraud and embezzlement, and his SCOTUS nomination was tanked because a bunch of senators were out sick after getting infected at one of his events, and had been replaced by Biden and a D-controlled senate with a Justice truly deserving of RBG's legacy.

That outcome would make me perfectly happy.

I second this!

From 15 minutes ago:

The president has a low-grade fever, nasal congestion and a cough, according to two people close to Mr. Trump. He was not planning to transfer his authority to Vice President Mike Pence, according to a White House spokesman, Judd Deere. “The president is in charge,” he said.

I suggest you stop lying.

If he dies, it will be like Epstein dying. He got out easy. I want Trump to answer for the terrible things he has done. I want him to witness his family implode when they realize that can't ride the gravy train anymore.

Constantly downplaying a pandemic, refusing to support an American public during a crisis, throwing out a pandemic playbook, stealing PPE supplies, holding Covid rallies and increasing the positive rate across the country, not leading the country in mourning for 200,000 dead Americans, not going to New York City to support the mayor and governor as they went through the worst crisis in that state's history.

Disgusting Orange Turd.

omg.. you people.. there is no way Trump will "answer for the terrible things he has done". Too many people are protecting him.

Our country needs to heal. It can't heal with him constantly stoking hatred and anger. In order to get better, the cancer needs to be removed.
