Indeed. Why on earth would the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee review a document that commits the United States to vast expenditures? Or be in the slightest bit interested in how well the $1 trillion dollar DoD budget is being used? Irresponsible. And a liar. |
If you pull a weapon, shoot to kill. If you wait for the police, you're dead before they arrive. The typical police response time for a home invasion in urban areas is 5 to 10 minutes. In rural areas, the response time can exceed thirty minutes. |
Castle doctrine (in states where it’s legal) doesn’t extend to raping someone. That’s just stupid and exposes the homeowner to assault countercharges. |
If someone invades another home and is raped . . . I'm not crying over it. Not sure why you are or why you're holding Platner to a different standard than our Rapist POTUS. |
Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, is it? |
Unlike you, I don’t condone rape, cheer it on, or make excuses for it. |
DP. The point, that you continue to miss over and over, is that there is something pathologically grotesque about anyone desiring to rape a home intruder (or anyone). This man's desire to show his dominance over another man by *raping* him instead of you know, simply holding him at gunpoint until the police arrive, is BIZARRE. If you were married to a man who stated he wanted to do this, what would you think? Would you just stand by as he RAPED some burglar?? I mean, JFC. If you find this to be normal, standard behavior, there's nothing left to discuss. |
No home intruder should be raped. They should immediately be met with lethal force. That's just simple common sense. Anyone who says they should be raped is an idiot. Attempting to rape an intruder could possibly give them a few extra seconds to gain control of the situation and then rape and murder your family. Think folks! The only harmless intruder is an immediately dead intruder! Not a raped a intruder... |
Exactly. Besides being sociopathic, it’s a recklessly impractical keyboard Rambo fantasy. In order to rape an intruder, they would have to be subdued either physically or at gunpoint and then heavily restrained (good luck with that). Anything extra that is done to them after that point is assault and opens the door to steep criminal and civil charges. Because now you’re no longer acting in self-defense. You’ve become the aggressor. The law does not look kindly on that. |

In an effort to reclaim this thread from discussion of raping home invaders,
Ranked choice voting runoff has determined Hannah Pingree as gubernatorial candidate and my old college friend Matthew Dunlap as candidate for House seat CD2 in Maine. I’m very anxious about these races and whether hitching themselves to Graham Platner’s wagon - as Dunlap already has - will end up being a boon or bust. It sickens me to think of Maine governed by Bobby Charles and sending Paul LePage to Congress. |

Oh so pointing out that a Senator on the Intelligence Committee won’t share her opinion on the worst foreign policy disaster in my lifetime isn’t relevant? We should keep talking about what someone said someone said ten years ago? |
It's very relevant. Just another example of an elderly corrupt Senator not doing their job. She is no better than McConnell or Schumer. |
