That did not happen. Oakmont got boat raced by Riverside

Stratton Oakmont

Oakmont or Oakton - doesn’t matter. Riverside gave them the boot!

Oakton must had been missing players. Anyone know what happened?

Sloppy play from both teams. Early season jitters still alive and breathing. Both squads fought hard till the end but that was some pretty ugly lacrosse. Glimpses of greatness from each team though. Still March...

sloppy yes, however Yorktowns top D Mid got injured Q1, along with that they were missing 2 other D Mids and 2 Key O Mids. Great night for Yorktown even without key players, that’s an earned win.

With a little home cookin' anything is possible! Those refs missed about 10 slashes, 2 moving picks, and 3 wards on YT. I think the game is moving to fast for some of these old head refs but glad they'll still trying! Solid game for both teams but ugly to watch.

Battlefield gets salty when they don't get that Haymarket "home cookin" huh?

There is no doubt that Yorktown should have won that game. Battlefield got a freebie when YT goalie dropped the ball. Score was 4-1 battlefield end of Q1. Battlefield can’t catch and throw and caused at least 5 turnover and YT profited off that. Great game from both teams but no doubt YT played their hearts out.

You could easily say the same when the Battlefield goalie cleared it into a Yorktown players stick with a wide open net. Sloppy lacrosse still stands.

Absolute coin flip of a game. Robinson came out hot and were up 3-1 early in the 2nd. Madison then scored 3 goals in ~3 minutes and went into half 4-3. 2nd half was 1-1 overall for Warhawk 5-4 victory. #5 Lynchburg commit was phenomenal tonight, even against Penn State commit. Robinson controlled the faceoffs but 11 LSM for Madison caused a lot of 50/50s at the X. #8 York commit for Robo looked really good as well. #14 was the best player on the field for Robinson- 3 goals and the offense ran through him. Goalie change for Madison at halftime from the Senior to the Landon transfer. Night and day difference, 2nd half goalie was lights out.

It’ll be a lot of fun to see these teams play later into the year and they will likely see each other again in June. It’s a clear three headed monster in 6A between Indy, Madison, Robo. Indy seems to be the team to beat right now but there is opportunity for that gap to close as Madison/Robinson have the two best coaches in the state. Both teams missing key players as well. We’re in for a fun one this year.

Ah I forgot about that thank you for reminding me. Each team got a freebie it seems.
