joint pain, plantar faciitis, gest. diabetes-->pre-diabetes, thyroid, high choles. triglycerides, protein in urine, adhd, low energy, erratic periods, dental issues, stress incontinence, abdominal weight gain, umbilical hernia, benign but abnormal heart rhythms, super low vit d, aenemic, hair loss,

clearly not all related but WTF??? Don't want to treat each one w/a separate specialist and med either.

I don't have a doc recommendation, but I do have several of those conditions. I found getting my thyroid under control got rid of odd things like muscle soreness and fatigue. So I'd probably start there. The other thing that might work is working with a naturapath to look at dietary changes.

You need to see a rheumatologist to investigate autoimmune diseases like lupus. Some of your symptoms point to that in my opinion. Autoimmune diseases can have very subtle and not so straight forward presentations. I definitely think this should be your next step.....

OP here. Thank you, but I've been to both a rheumy and an and endocrine. both ruled out the obvious (he says, its not lupus or any other autoimmune). I think my thyroid is kinda on the low side of normal and from what I've read, that can cause problems. I've also read that there is difference bwn synthroid vs. armour. I've tried synthroid and t3 in the past and noticed NO difference. Part of why I need a detective.

I find it interesting that op asked for a referral for a dr but all she's received has been non-professional medical opinions. Even those who probably intended to refer, only mentioned what specialty to consult and didn't really recommend anyone.

Where is your doctor referral?

David Jacobs downtown (2141 K). He does not take insurance and is pretty pricey, but he is great for stuff like this. He also has specialists he prefers, so if he wants to send you for additional testing, he may or may not agree to pick someone off your insurance list. Over the years he has done both with me depending on how serious/unusual my symptoms were (more serious = must go to his "go to" doc).

I really love Dr. Rabenhorst. She will spend as much time as you need to truly get to the bottom of things, and uses a multi-faceted approach to address problems.
