Why on earth do you believe that rose Hanbury stuff? The guy who made it up admitted he did, William has denied it, Kate and will look happy as clams. I see nothing to indicate any of this cheating rumor is true except for the imagination of people like you.

I also don't really believe it. It just seems so...stupid. Kate wasn't a 19 year old schoolteacher with a title when she got married - these two have had a long time together and William no doubt understands the effects of cheating on a marriage, especially a royal marriage which asks for a lot more than a normal marriage. Plus, she's gone through three pretty horrific pregnancies. I think she would have said no way to a third child if William wasn't as supportive as he seems to be. I'm not surprised by the rumor, I'm just not going to buy it.

They looked so nice last night at the soccer match. George is a cutie.

I'm the first pp. I believe it because it wasn't just that one guy. Lots of gossip was happening then and then that one guy posted a tweet about it and then suddenly its gone. The women falling out of friendship was reported PRIOR to the affair. A lot of smoke for no fire.

I always liked William but always felt that the way he strung Kate along was gross. She stayed with him through so much, I feel like he was obviously like...to me it seems like she was always the right choice. Poised, beautiful, up to play by the rules of the game, etc. You are right, she was no schoolteacher or young innocent, her eyes were wide open. And she also proved she would stick around no matter what he did. Dump her and go play the field? She just sat back and waited for him to come back.

Plenty of people dislike their parents actions and then suddenly and disorienting-ly realize they have become them in middle age. He would hardly be unique in that. I think he has grown up the heir to the throne his entire life, the subject of global adulation, and that it is hard to keep one's head in that situation. He is the crown, and he was raised by men who did what they want. So he screwed around.

FWIW I also think the reason this turned into a thing is because he did it carelessly, because Rose herself blabbed about it, and because they were friends. I think Kate would look the other way on like 99.9% of transgressions but doing it with a friend in their social circle who then turned out to be very indiscreet was the issue.

Oh, but she didn't sit back. She went out and partied with her sister and got photographed - A LOT. It's one of the things I like about her the most.

I mean that's the most passive mattress thing you can do and it doesn't always work. Cressida tried it after Harry broke up with her and he rolled his eyes and found someone else.

LOL! Cressida didn’t want Harry because she didn’t want to be part of the royal fishbowl. Same with Chelsy Davis. Both women are from extremely wealthy and connected families and didn’t need the royal connection. Same way Cressida’s sister turned down William.

No, it really was just the one guy, Giles Coren. He tweeted the rumor and everyone else picked it up and ran with it. Rose herself didn’t “blab” about it. I am
Not sure where all this is coming from but really, there was no affair as far as we know.

I had heard about it before Giles Coren tweeted. In fact I remember reading about his tweet because my first reaction was like, 'ohhhh is it going to come out now????'

His tweet was also not BREAKING the story if you remember, it was more like, "yes we all know about the affair, literally everyone knows about it!". It had been the talk of the town. And the stories about Rose and Kate's friendship splintering happened before the tweet.

And the story at the time was the the reason 'everyone' knew about it is because Rose talked about it at a dinner party she went to.

No doubt in my mind that Meghan planted those stories herself to get the heat off of her. Absolute narcissistic behavior.

Pics or it didn't happen. If we don't have him canoodling another woman then why should anyone care? Normally when we talk about a famous person having an affair there is some photographic evidence or something. In this case, nothing, and it was years ago and people are clinging to it like it's a life preserver.

Let? He's the Prime Minister.

And Harry was still in love with Chelsy and depressed she dumped him. Cressida was just a rebound. Didn't mean anything. He really loved Chelsy.

Because pictures exist from Charles 20-year affair? Or Phillip’s known romantic liaisons?

It’s practically the second job of the British media to hide or pay off any photographic evidence of royal affairs.

Do you even realize how crazy it is that there is not one single photo of Charles and Camilla kissing pre-2000?

He didn’t blow up his marriage over a wink-and-a-promise I assure you.

She's a class act. Wimbledon in the morning looking like a star, costume change for the night Futbol game. On point, as always.

I love seeing this vs the nastiness and trashiness of the Kardashian girls' style.

Pics or it didn't happen. If we don't have him canoodling another woman then why should anyone care? Normally when we talk about a famous person having an affair there is some photographic evidence or something. In this case, nothing, and it was years ago and people are clinging to it like it's a life preserver.

We know about Charles affairs because of a tell all interview and divorce. There was confirmation. Where is the confirmation to these rumors? Like I said "or something". There is no smoking gun with the supposed Rose affair. It's just the same tired rumor brought up again and again with nothing else to go on.

Kate Middleton knew she was applying for a lifetime job not just a wife. There is no way she leaves him. She understood the agreement.

And the voicemails!

From what I understand, the British Press decided W had an affair with Rose because he and K were actively distancing themselves from them socially.

But the less popular story is that the husband of Rose was involved in some scheme in Europe which was fleecing wealthy older women out of money by being some kind of gigolo.

And W simply had to remove himself and K from that potential scandal.

The net effect was the press jumped on their actions, created a fabricated story which they (the royals) then decided was less harmful than the actual story and so have never addressed or refuted it.

Are you all idiots?

The tapes didn’t come out until Charles and Diana officially announced a separation in Parliament to the entire country.

The announcement that Charles was unfaithful in an interview also didn’t come out until after the separation announcements.

Separation - 1992
Tapes - 1993
Charles ‘I cheated’ interview - 1994
Diana interview - 1995

In other words the British media didn’t do their jobs and uncover anything until the palace had no choice but to announce the marriage was failing.
