Housekeeper/Cleaning Service Recommendations

Anonymous
I am 7 months along and am looking for someone to begin cleaning our home every two/three weeks from now until I go back to work in June 2011. Any recommendations for a reliable person/service with reasonable rates would be much appreciated. I would prefer someone/service who provides their own products/supplies and would prefer they be non-toxic. Thanks!

Where are you located? I get recommendations from the neighborhood listservs.

I would post on the Brookland listserve (or search the archives)...I'm a Brooklander and I've seen recommendations there before.

NP here -- for the people recommended above, how is their ability to speak English. Sadly I don't know any other language and I always feel bad when I can't communicate.

OP here - great question NP 10:15. I would like to know that as well.

Perfect English-speaker, high-quality service, lovely woman: Beth Santilla-- (202) 297 - 4379.

A girlfriend recommended her to me when I was at the end of my rope. Now, in addition to our house, I even have her cleaning my parents' place.

Trust-worthy and prompt. She regularly goes that extra mile.

Tell her Judy sent you.

Any of these recommendations work in the Arlington area as well?

In Arlington, check out Domesticall. http://domesticall.com/

The owner and office staff are native English speakers; the actual cleaners speak some English. They can bring their own products or use yours (my preference). For what it's worth, I've read that you should have any cleaning service use your vacuum cleaner - at the the very least - to avoid allergens and bed bugs.
