Np. This seems a little harsh… You’ve never had a time in your life when you felt like you self sabotaged yourself or got in your own way? I’m not narcissistic or particularly mentally unstable… But found that song relatable, or at least elements of it.

I’m sure Taylor has issues just like every single human on the planet. I don’t think you get to be an adult without having some of those - But she doesn’t seem (especially for a celebrity) particularly unstable to me.

Shrug. Who knows - we could all speculate - but definitely compared to some stars who found fame so early she seems to be doing okay.

Yes I thought the album was about her insecurities and that the money has won out which is why she went on tour and sells scarves and towels. Her actions are showing she is preferring or at least can’t stop the money making machine over her mental health. If I were that bothered by the fame, I would not go on tour for 2 years. I guess she feels differently OR she is beholden to parents and a corporation that want her to keep on going. It does make me wonder how much she is doing this to please her board and parents and how much she gets out of it.

Imagine if she started making songs under another artist/name with her writing and another singing. She could separate her work from her brand and maybe gain more sanity and freedom.

Doesn’t matter what you or I think, she is clearly choosing to continue with the fame route.

Different poster. The money must be great, I can't imagine. But I also can't imagine how it must feel to have millions and millions of people from around the world want to come see me sing songs I wrote night after night. It must be intoxicating. I'd love to have songwriting talent, or decent vocals. And be able to play some instruments well (she seems to be great at guitar and piano). What a fun way to make a living.

I'm sure many musicians tour in part for the money, of course, but those who have made millions and millions and still do it, do it because they love it. It must be an amazing feeling.

I think you have me confused with someone else, or I didn’t post what I meant.
Can you show me where I wrote that the money run out or where I diagnosed her in my post?

Mental health isn’t the same as a mental disorder. She seems mentally unhealthy (or was when she wrote anti-hero and when she stalked fans/invited them to secret parties to understand “normal”)

I just hope the PP is right and Taylor loves the intoxication of being in front of the crowd because she clearly is feeling some negative affects of fame. I see her Anti-Hero video as her feelings and saying to the world “sometimes being famous sucks. here are the down sides.” And I see that as grousing about it in public (as the video is public). I agree, she didn’t say anything about that in interviews.

As far as the “money ran out” no I didn’t say that. My point is that maybe Taylor is the face of a corporation at this point and she feels like she has to continue because of pressure from the suits and pressure from her mom/dad.. IDK, but she very clearly has said she sees some downsides of fame and the affects on intimate relationships (both friends and romantically).
