I lived in Europe for much of my life (Germany and Switzerland). OF COURSE, Europeans think Jews living in Europe are European! Do Israelis think of them as equal? As human? As deserving of the same rights? I doubt it. Speaking of genocide and Islamophobia have you boycotted China? Are you typing from an iPhone? They literally have Uyghur internment camps and there are reports of them harvesting their organs. Is that your logic? Is that your way of feeling OK with genocide, by pretending that the REAL reason why people are outraged by what’s happening in the Middle East (for decades now, mind you) isn’t because of what’s actually happening, but really because they overlook all other atrocities and unfairly focus their attention on the ones being committed by Israel?

Essential to your argument, by the way, is acknowledgment that Israel is committing atrocities. But that those atrocities don’t really matter because the REAL bad guys are those opposed to what’s happening in the Middle East, for having failed to ensure that they equivalently devote their attention to all atrocities across the globe. Not the best look possible, but ymmv.

Nothing she said assumes what is going on in the Middle East is a holocaust. Her point was that if you think what is going on in the middle east is a holocaust, do you see holocausts in other parts of the world?

Per your definition of terrorist, all these campus protesters fit the definition of terrorist by the way. They want to use violence and intimidation to make us do what they want. Sorry it is not going to work. Playing semantic gotcha games on the internet is not going to work either. Some people just are saying "no" to your desire (destruction of Israel).

Not true. There are ways for the killing to stop now, they are not calling for these ways. They prefer to build a evidence for a public relations trial against Israel so eventually people will want to see it destroyed.

You feel like you need this to be true but it’s not. Most people—including a lot of Israelis— want the hostages returned home and the war to stop.
