For how long these 23s have been playing together on the club circuit, the lack of coordinated teamwork on offense is surprising. Lots of one on one ball. |
| For those coaches out there that have watched the St. John’s team play. Who do you put your number 1 cover guy on? |
Shut off Rhoa. None of their other mids can score. No scoring depth without Duley and Garza. |
Garza lol team is better without him |
Are you saying you would put your number 1 close pole on him? Attack would eat your team up. |
Did someone bring up Garza? 🥴 |
Second line no threat |

Bullis has one guy that can score (and he can score a lot). Shut him down and you beat them. Prep maybe has 2 (at least on paper, but yet to show up this year). SSSA has 1 1/2. Gonazaga 1, maybe 2 at the most. But SJC has several guys that can hurt you. The kid heading to Drexel is no joke with an insane release. The Cuse mid can ring it up. And the 24 will hurt you if you focus elsewhere. I would put my best pole on the Drexel kid, but you better be playing team defense, not just focus on any one kid.
Also shoot low on the goalie. He can still move very well and get there, but shooting high is completely useless. Sneak one or two by him (easier said than done) and he will start to get frustrated with his defenders. A goal is never his fault. They are not unbeatable, but they don’t have any real weakness. Just gotta hope you catch ‘em on your best day and their worst day. |
| Nailed it |
Might be the dumbest thing I have read on this site. You aren’t watching their motions. You shut him off, they are dunking on your goalie. |

Gonzaga is going to struggle this season.
Their W against Loyola is not impressive as Loyola is very down this year. |
Except the 16 other D1 players on SJC |
11, 13, and 50 aren’t going to do anything. My St Mary’s, please. Maybe the UMBC commit. But yesterday, it was all #1. He had 5. |
| UMBC has a great squad and solid tradition. They’re not UVA, but are always tough. |
| Not a SJC fan by any stretch, but it is silly to question to talent on that team at this point. |
