Well, since dcu doesn't accept girls, you wasted that script on most of us If dcu isn't for you, and you have or had access to the best options in the world for your son who I assume is now performing at the highest levels in Europe or South America, why are you here obsessed with tearing down DCU, the kids who go there and their parents? What's in it for you personally or professionally? |
No idea what accepting girls has to do with anything? Pretty sexist comment on its face. So weak. We've already established this...Making sure other parents have information at their disposal that helps them and their children make good decisions about their future. None of this information was available or is available publicly and hasn't been for many years. If you were making decisions 5 or 6 years ago on DCU you were literally flying blind on what ifs and possibilities. Now there is a good sense of what they are about since they have become a free academy and people should have an understanding of what they stand for and provide. Which is absolutely nothing. Maybe the new director brings change. |
Its sexist to tell you you're making a fool of yourself lecturing someone about their kid's dcua future when its a DD? You have a biased subjective personal agenda that suits your jaded purpose. You aren't any neutral hero coming to save the day. Quit the BS The people don't need your toxic agenda for guidance. If you placed your kid on a different successful path and he's now flowing top tier, then be happy with your good fortune and have a coke and a smile Do you stand in front of restaurants you don't like all day and tell people not to go in because it's not your taste? DCUA has obviously hurt you and yours and you're using this channel to unsuccessfully address the demons. Let the people who you're not smarter than make their own choices, especially since you have so viable real alternatives to offer that is a guarantee for professional or college soccer success. Your being a hurt blowhard with DCU living in your head rent free. |
People actually do review restaurants. And this is a review of DCUA. Perhaps you're the one being a "neutral hero"? This thread is great for providing parents real info on DCUA. |
"real" 😂😊 cute Parents who knew what to do to get their kids to the level that a MLS Academy wants them isn't looking to you or dcum for advice or information on their next steps lol |
|
What kinda low self-esteem leads people to tell parents of MLS Academy kids they don't know what they're doing and their kids can't reach their goals?
Misery sure loves company |
And what did those parents do to get their kids into an academy? Take them to extra training sessions? News flash, most parents aren't soccer crazy and are only supportive of their kid, who happened to be good enough for academy level. Those are the parents that benefit from knowing the pros and cons of DCU. Especially if their kid is good enough to be scouted by multiple academies. |
Forget all the Less Filling, Taste Great between you two Can you, the MLS academies to Professional Pathway Consultant guy tell us parents the guaranteed steps to get to the promise land of D1 or Pro Soccer? |
I didn't know any kid in the dmv with mls club level skills can just fill out a form and go to any other mls academy in the country (not that we're shipping our 13 year old 2,000 miles away) Can you also share with us the percentage and numbers of kids from the top 5 academies ranked by D1 or top level professional clubs placement? |
No, I'm just a supportive parent that has/had two kids in the academy system. I was only along for the ride and made observations. |
Yea it's called submitting a highlight reel and resume to the academy scouting team to earn a trial, if you're good enough and they need your skills. Or getting scouted by showing out at a FEST event. And of course that's your response lol! |
Why should parents do that? Give the quantitative and real world measurable benefits of a 15 year old leaving DCU for another MLS Club Academy? What odds and guarantees does he get for leaving the family and home in McLean to become a Professional? |
Thanks for regaling us with your experience. Didn't workout for you. Got it. Whats good for goose isn't necessarily good for gander Hopefully you and you kids can move on to a happy and fulfilling life. |
Smoke and .mirrors and no substance just like DCU. Bottom line...DCU is not a good football academy and is one of the worst, if not the worst run academy in the MLS. Full stop. Say whatever you want but it doesn't change this. Hopefully the new director can change things around for the better. |
Why should the parents do what? It's the player that does the work... What are your real world experiences with academy teams? What is your affiliation with DCUA? |
