closures of what? |
Yes, and? You'd rather people not be informed? I wonder why you find experts so distasteful. Perhaps you are jealous of expertise? You can always go back to school. |
Yes, thank you. |
1. Schools first: children, with their poor hygiene, are prime vectors of transmission. 2. Workplaces, which need to offer flexibility and telework to employees, particularly those who need to care for children, but also worker in higher-risk categories. 3. This will put distance between people and slow down viral spread. It will also help keep people who need to continue working, safer as well. 4. Travel limitations. |
The voice of reason and sanity? Good. |
I wasn’t talking about CDC. |
| Italy expands its quarantine to the entire country as coronavirus cases and deaths surge |
|
Wooooooooooh....
USA 729 cases!!!! In how many days from the initial 19????? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries |
|
Again...729 cases in the US!!! I propose moment of reflection. |
| There’s way more than 729. We all know that. If we had mass testing like South Korea we would be in the multiple thousands. |

With all of Italy under lockdown, reeling financial markets and rioting prisoners, it remains to be seen how the country can cope. Over 9,000 people have become infected in Italy in little over two weeks, lending weight to the stringent measures announced by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Monday.
Businesses, including bars and restaurants, have been told they can only remain open if they can guarantee customers remain a meter apart. “That is the least of my worries. The real problem is there is no one here,” said Franco Giovinazzo, who runs Spazio Caffe in Rome and had sold just six coffees in the normally busy breakfast period on Monday. |
Thats the point.. once they testing started.. they are balooning. |
I sincerely appreciate the microbiologist's explanations. I'm learning so much. |
They haven’t even begun testing broadly in DC yet. Word is they don’t even have tests at hospitals until Thursday at the earliest. DOH has them but is only testing symptomatic individuals with known exposure. I shudder at the thought of how many infected people are passing around this serious illness. And schools shutting down for a single day to clean is just absolutely ridiculous. That is going to do NOTHING. |
| Yet they are closing universities and going completely online. Just seems odd that they're not closing anything else. |
