I don't think that's the case for MAGA, who are hyper-partisan. They expected Trump to be their leader is exposing all of this, not for him to be a core actor. They haven't shown the ability so far to see him in a negative light.

The problem is that his supporters will have to admit to themselves that they’ve been conned. And it’s the biggest con in history. I’m not hopeful they will do that. More likely they will make up a new story or excuse to tell themselves. Trump just has to figure out which one works. You can see he’s trying new ones out every day.
