I can't imagine he'll die. He's getting the absolute best care.

Yes, even if he is in fact seriously ill, he's odds of survival are at least 90 percent. But he is also likely to be too sick to work for weeks or even months

He doesn't do much work anyway--can continue to watch Fox News, send hate tweets, and sign whatever papers are put in front of him from bed.

Jesus. The amount of hate and schadenfreude on this thread is sad and unfortunately not surprising given the tone of people recently on this site. I feel sorry for you all. Must be a terrible way to live. I don’t like him but love our country and for that reason I hope he is ok and recovers.

I don't hate Trump but I do think the country is better off if he exits the scene immediately. I don't care how that happens.

I’m PP and all I will say before leaving this thread for my mental health is that I hope we can get to a point where people can be kind again. What happened to taking the high road? It’s been completely abandoned and it’s dispiriting and depressing. Go ahead and flame me for saying we shouldn’t take pleasure in POTUS having COVID. I don’t mind it and wish you all the best.

I won't wish death on anyone.

I do want him to be miserable for a few weeks or months, show the rest of the country that it really is serious, and recover to the realization that he lost the election by a landslide, he's under investigation for tax fraud and embezzlement, and his SCOTUS nomination was tanked because a bunch of senators were out sick after getting infected at one of his events, and had been replaced by Biden and a D-controlled senate with a Justice truly deserving of RBG's legacy.

That outcome would make me perfectly happy.

We’re not wishing that he gets really sick or dies. We’re simply saying that love of country is hardly a reason to wish him well. You can wish him well because he’s another human being, but he’s 100% awful for the country.

Trump is a brilliant showman, even his enemies agree with that. He may have engineered the whole thing to attract attention and divert it from his failures. Americans love someone who stumbles and get up. So he can arrange bedside interviews about how he's in pain but holding up and coming through for the country etc.

Failed presidents usually start a war to divert the attention. Let's give credit where credit is due. Trump did not start a war in the past 3.5 years. He's determined to win the next election on its merit, not by creating chaos in the international stage to divert the attention away from domestic issues.

I read some thing before like if two or three senate GOP judiciary senators get sick then she might not be able to get through the judiciary committee… I thought now this would be two of the three

Oh BS. That’s some wishful thinking there. If he’s like most people with COVID, he will be absolutely fine.

Of course it is. 80/20 the nomination does NOT go through.
