LMVSC town hall

To answer the questions:
- the PAC teams will continue filling our slates for the entire seasonal year
- so will TSJ teams
- LB will try to keep LMVSC in CCL because they’re allowed to charge its members more money since it costs more money to be in CCL than it does to be in NCSL

Rumor is our technical director (LC) is going to a different club. Which would make LB need to hire ANOTHER director (fifth in three years). Reading the tea leaves, we lost 1/3 of player pool for the 2019/2020 season. We lost 1/3 of player pool for the 2020/2021 season. I think we’ll lose anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of player pool for 2021/2022 season.

Anything in specific? Any changes?

Academy was a lie, “squads not teams” was a lie, “every age group coach will watch at least one of the white team squads” was a lie.

Problem is that most age groups don’t have enough players for academy.

What happens to teams with only enough kids for one team? Are they red or white? Our age/gender group has more than enough.

I think they are red but not all red teams play in CCL b/c it's probably not the correct level. Wonder what will happen next year and if what many have raised here before regarding whether it makes sense for the club to remain in CCL. I don't think we should stay but it's not my decision.

How did the Premier AC teams that LMVSC borrowed for CCL end up doing in the fall? Will the use them again in the spring?

No idea. Kind of hard to know unless someone stays and watches those games.

And our directors don’t. PAC parent here: I’ve seen all LMVSC staff leave fields when PAC fills in. So much “family”.

Pac for being a small club has some really good teams. Those coaches I've seen really know the game and how to train players. They get the most out of the kids they get.

If PAC were to replace LMVSC, they compete better and have no missing teams. And let’s face it, give LB less stress to find a new slate of coaches and directors. AGAIN.

I think PAC was just helping out because LMVSC was in dire straits. Sully runs a great program at PAC. He has no intentions of getting too involved with that disfunction.

Please elaborate on the LC rumor.

TSJ teams won’t have many games in ccl this spring because the age groups fall under the high school structure for the league.

DC has a teammate with a sibling on one of LC’s teams. Grew a friendship with this parent, and naturally we talk about our teams (my DC, and his two DC). He heard rumor and told me.

Come back with 1st hand info & stop spreading rumors on 2nd-3rd hand information. You are anonymous so it sounds like you want to stir the pot rather than share good, hard facts.

Right. Cause nothing is true unless I give my name, provide video evidence, and have a sworn affidavit registered by an elected judge. Or, how about we just wait and see?

I heard LB is negotiating a deal for EM to return to LMVSC in exchange for JC, who may have the opportunity to go back to SYC. The sticking point seems to be LB wants to pay EM far less and give herself another raise.

Lol. No way EM comes back. SYC is flourishing and have provided so many opportunities for their players. They have the better coaches from LMVSC while LB got stuck with the rejects. I don’t blame LC if he wants to go back. They have grown their player pool and programs. LB should pull a page from CYA and SYA.

No one is merging with lmvsc

LB is too much of a greedy control freak to ever merge.

+1000 and many more zeroes.

Can not agree more.

I don’t think LB knows how bad this situation is. Losing the huge majority of our coaching staff, losing a third of our players in two consecutive years. Rumors of Arlington girls getting ECNL, no chance to merge with Gunston or SYC (because of LB’s pride). Alexandria has MLS Next and continues to grow and dominate results against us, so I doubt LB would want to merge there.

If we don’t merge with one of these clubs for 2021-2022 season, CCL will remove us and we won’t have teams older than U15. CYA/SYA just merged and they’ll survive. We are missing so many teams, we aren’t doing anything to replace what left us, and JC is in a position beyond his pay grade and he is going to jump ship. BRYC won’t accept us unless they take control, which LB won’t allow.

Can we start a petition?
