And, based on the roots, neither one of them is actually blonde!
It’s so odd to me—I have basically the same color hair as these two and Ivanka and it would just never have occurred to me to make myself a blonde.

It’s so odd to me—I have basically the same color hair as these two and Ivanka and it would just never have occurred to me to make myself a blonde.

So do I, but I was a natural blonde. In my late 20s, my hair started to gradually darken so I got highlights to maintain the color I'd always had. It still kind of shocks me when I see what my natural color has become now. It just doesn't look like "me."

I can’t even imagine the thought process behind deciding to do that (and I’m from Minnesota, where we have a decent number of natural blondes even into adulthood).

I am a natural blond. My hair darkened a lot when I was pregnant. The following summer, after giving birth, it lightened back up.
When I look back at pics of when I was pregnant, it almost looked like I was coloring my hair - darker.
