| So I take my kid to practice last night . Two very busy turf fields. There were 3 dogs on a leash with their owner on the actual turf....and they didn't come off as friendly dogs. |
| This thread is making a case for DCUM Soccer forum hall of shame. |

dogs are not allowed on turf
not allowed at sully highlands inside the fence but someone has to ENFORCE THE RULES |
Enforcement is only necessary when people violate rules No one is asking for someone to be arrested or police involved, just saying follow the rules At Sully tournament there were no field marshals in the fields. Just a couple ladies collecting scorecards outside the complex. They left the referees alone to manage fans etc. a field marshal is important to be that kind enforcer before things get out of hand |
No. They don't. Who made the rule? Some unpleasant bureaucrat in an office just decided that dogs would no longer be allowed anywhere because they themselves, or perhaps one or two troublemakers somewhere decided that they didn't like dogs. Did the community vote on it? Nope. These same people will carry on outlawing anything they dislike until we are all locked in our houses and forbdden from any activity anyone anywhere disapproves of. Why on earth should anyone follow any rule made in such a way? |
Lots of people make rules. Hitler made rules too. Should people follow Hitler's rules? If not, why not? In my view each person should make their own choice whether to follow such an arbitrary rule.
I would rather not have enfrocers everywhere, and I would like to see people ignoring stupid rules everywhere. Well done to the ladies and the refs for minding their own business, and shame on you for wishing for extra people to make others miserable. |
They didn't just decide this on their own. These things are done because of either public complaints or actual negative instances of either dog fights, dog owners not cleaning up after dogs, general nuisance or any combination of the above. The hard pill to swallow is your dog is just not appreciated everywhere you think it is. |
I don't believe there is any major enforcement of these rules just that dog owners are being called out on their entitled act of not following them. It is a false equivalency of the highest degree to compare dog leash laws and restrictions to NAZI Germany. You are nothing more than a mental midget to make such a leap but it is also not surprising either. |
Of course the god has rights. It's just that people like you are cruelly denying the dog its rights. Just because you deny a dog rights, dopes not mean the dog does not have them - it just means that you are a bad person. You are like a dog version of Stalin or Mao. Disgraceful. |
You're still the only dysfunctional moron who feels the desire to punch someone over a dog's behavior. And don;t blame me - I don't own a dog - but nor am I so gloriously selfish that I think I have the right to ban dogs from the open air just because I prefer things without them. You are a monstrously selfish person. |
| Poster on here clearly has a dog named troll. Ignore. |
| Herndon parents in overdrive to talk about dogs and dog rights. Was the fight over a dog????? |
| I’m fine with seeing dogs at games as long as they are properly leashed and the owners doesn’t allow their dogs to poop anywhere near the field, spectacular stands or walkways regardless if they pick up the poop right away. |
I'm certainly not going to punch the dog but I'd punch the owner who can't control the dog. Keep your dumb, slobbering, jumping dog away form people you don't know, follow the stated rules and you'll be fine. If I get knocked, pushed, scratched or worse because of your dog then we have a situation. I'm not the one banning dogs. If the a sign is posted it is the rule of that park period. Some allow it some don't. Some roads you can drive 70mph some are 25mph. |
| Our U9 boys played Herndon and the parents were very pleasant. Who/why did they fight? |
