Burberry
Saint Laurent
Prada

.. all have totes at that price point that are stylish without screaming a logo.

The tote linked by OP doesn’t scream a logo. It’s not the mono print.

What is the NOT high-end version of this? Meaning 100 or less?

I think coach, Michael kors, Kate spade all have coated canvas bags a little upwards of $100. Longchamp le pliage has, to me, the same ethos as the neverfull (basic, very common, practical) and is around $150, cuyana bags actually look good but they are leather and around $200. If you want function over style the baggu cloud bag is about $50.

Of all the ones I listed I would definitely say the longchamp is the non high end version of the neverfull.

My DH got me one for my birthday and that’s the only bag I wear now. I don’t care what all these embarrassed fashionistas think

Thank you - the Le Pliage is evvvverrry where so I will avoid that (I guess the LV ones are, too - so it is a good parallel)! But I like the coated canvass practicality. I don't like the paterns on he LV and I wouldn't pay if I could afford it, but I like the coated canvass practicality.

The Le Pliage is not the same quality. The bottom edges fray easily if you are carrying heavy items day in and day out. The canvas is easily scratched. And if you get the bag refurbished by Longchamp, they take in the bottom so you end up with a smaller bag than you did before. It’s a good bag for a specific purpose and demographic, but don’t expect it to last more than 2-3 years with daily heavy use.

Get what you want. LV created the Neverfull as their “affordable” tote. There isn’t much construction, hardware or detail. Consider it a starter bag for this whole want a LV bag but can’t swing the really big bucks.

I have plenty of other bags that cost a whole lot more than my Neverfulls. My Neverfulls are my everyday bags, they are extremely durable and I don’t have to pay attention to how I treat them. They aren’t starter bags or a status symbols for me. Mine are reliable bag that holds up well in virtually any situation.

The Goyard bags aren’t nearly as durable. They get worn in the creases and the color rubs off the trim. The salesperson even told me they are not meant to be everyday bags. I wish LV would make the Neverfull in an unrecognizable pattern or solid colors. Yes, they are basic and ugly but there is no bag as durable or utilitarian as the Neverfull.

THey do.

I own half a dozen luxury bags from European brands that are not popular in the United States. The chosen exemplar's sheer uglinesss truly takes my breath away. I can't imagine spending so much on a piece that is not even leather. A Longchamp canvas tote is a bargain compared to that monstrosity.

If you want it, OP, go for it.

Lol
Canvas is more durable than leather
My leather wallets all got beat up while LV canvas still looks brand new after like 8 years
What European bags that are not popular in usa? LV is one of the most popular bag in any country including France. There are women with those bags everywhere on the streets of Paris. What’s up with the “exclusivity” and statuses? Buy what you like and can afford.

Obviously, it’s like $1300 less. I don’t think anyone is suggesting it has the same level of quality.

The epi is leather and doesn’t wear as well. I wish they made the canvas style neverfull in solid colors

+1. I don’t have one but I see it as a practical luxury bag that is common because it is durable and light. There isn’t really a more expensive bag that serves the same function.

See earlier comments about the Epi. I had one of these. They are not the same as the canvas bags- they are not nearly as durable.
