It was weird that Ryan and Clara kept insisting that their marriage was great when there was ample evidence of major problems.

Virginia/Erik is no surprise at all. That was doomed from the beginning. Ryan/Clara is marginally more surprising to me. She seemed like a partner who could get along with a wide range of people. He didn't strike me as a bad guy, but I didn't get the sense that his personality was one that was very family oriented.

It was a huge red flag when clara’s husband told her he prefers her to be quiet and keep things to herself. The implication was understood.

The bossy girl also didn’t have a great episode. She was starting that evening off telling him HE annoyed HER and then was blindsided that she was the annoying one. You know you’re bossy and annoying when your family and friends wrote those vows.

Chris is off the rails. He literally goes from saying one thing to saying the opposite and Paige wants it so bad she hangs on him saying the things that are focused on her.

The one with the pilot is probably an alcoholic. She wants a drink immediately upon waking. She wants to go out and drink every weekend. Very inflexible. Very immature. The perfect compromise would be if he could accept her guy friends and her going out and drinking and if she could go out whine he’s flying...if she’s not an alcoholic. But she probably is. He looked foolish trying to keep up. I’m surprised that this couple hasn’t consummated the marriage, actually.

She seems clearly to be an alcoholic, and he is another one who looks older than he claims. (Very phony, and controlling under the surface).

I know I am reviving an old thread, but I just watched it and was so happy to find this thread so I could see others’ reactions
