I'm from another country, and I can promise you that there's no way China is looking good out of anything that's happened in the past year.

I can't speak for the American reputation there yet, but everyone knows where this virus came from and who allowed it to become a pandemic. Hint: It has nothing to do with the USA.

Well they are way ahead of the US reputation this year.

Shame on the World Health Organization.
We should stop funding their massive corruption.

I am also from another country and all I can tell you is that, in phone calls with friends and family, they are disappointed but not surprised by the level of US incompetence which is on display.

Interesting read.

China has re-opened the wet markets that caused the problem in the first place: https://www.newsweek.com/what-wet-market-amid-pandemic-crackdown-called-selling-live-animals-china-1495278

This is outrageous.

The world needs to boycott China.

I hope we move manufacturing back to this continent.

Good idea. I am only going to buy products made in South Korea or India.

Yes, and my vote will go to the candidate who puts this high on their agenda. We don't need half the crap we own, and we'd be better off building up our manufacturing capacities and focusing on higher-quality, environmentally sustainable ways of producing what we actually need.

That is a pretty good article. I tend to agree and it would be of value to many Americans to read how the U.S. is perceived overseas. Their narrative of benevolence and doing the right thing is falling apart even in the country. Being a superpower comes at a price, no doubt, being incompetent superpower....

Exactly! Better quality = less landfill

BOYCOTT China crap.

Buy American. Or Central/South American.

Or European made.

This is a good explanation of Chinese wildlife markets:

EVERYONE here needs to have a look at this...

This video has been posted a number of times on DCUM, including upthread. Good overview of the markets that are already gradually being re-opened in China.

Pandemics will keep coming out of China....
