Any update on St. Bart's?

I agree. The staff has been stoic and kind. As time passes into the day the more I assume bad news. Good news requires and constant contact text...we did it...more info to follow. Bad news requires letters written by lawyers and a plan for the fallout. The decision has likely been made.

I don't know, but I have that fear as well. It's awful if that's what they're doing at this point, because independent school applications are due tomorrow, or some were due last week.
The parents alone exceeded the fundraising goal and came up with an enrollment plan that should work, if the ADW weren't working against us by sowing all this uncertainty.

independent school applications are due tomorrow, or some were due last week....that's a feature not a bug. Stall until the only options are under enrolled Catholic school or public.

No doubt surrounding parochial schools have been given the heads well before now. If you have openings, make them available to St. Bart's students.

If that's intentional, that's so immoral. Absolutely not looking out for the best interest of the students.

Why would teachers not be taking care of their current class duties at this point? All decisions aside, there are still 5 more months of THIS year. It’s irresponsible to not be responsive to current classroom-related things.

I don’t know what the PP’s timeframe was, but my child’s teachers have been very responsive to normal homework type questions the last couple days. So maybe they just hadn’t gotten a response to an evening email by the next morning and were anxious. I have been really impressed by the grace the faculty has shown soldiering on as normal.

+1 - my children’s teachers are as responsive as always.

Yep, not many.

Definitely strange that the ADW and the school are letting this hang out there.

Waiting for a Friday afternoon news dump?

Any local school would have to understand why an application is late in the event St Bart's closes. That said, I think it is in poor form for the ADW to wait so long to make a decision.

Anything that comes out will definitely be announced at the end of the day. None of them want to announce it at 9 am and then take a barrage of phone calls. Waiting until Friday at 5 would just be cruel.

Understanding is not the same thing as having equal chance of admission as people who applied on time.
